Abilio dos Santos Diniz
Description Mr. Abilio dos Santos Diniz is the chairman of our board of directors since 2003. His professional career was entirely dedicated to the Pao de Acucar Group, from his initial position as sales manager to the position he currently occupies. He was responsible for our Company's major business upturn and, as chief executive officer, promoted the implementation of corporate governance policies and management professionalization. Since 1999, he is also a member of the board of directors of the Casino Group. Mr. Diniz is one of the founders of the Sao Paulo Supermarket Association ( Associacao Paulista de Supermercados), or APAS, and ABRAS. He was also member of the Brazilian Monetary Council for ten years. He is currently a member of the Federal Government Economic and Social Development Council. Mr. Abilio Diniz holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Fundacao Getulio Vargas and has attended Columbia University in New York and the University of Ohio in Dayton.
