Description Arrium Limited engages in the mining and supply of iron ore and other steelmaking raw materials to steel mills in Australia and internationally. It produces and supplies hematite iron ore through its mines located in the Middleback Ranges and southern Iron, South Australia, as well as owns a dolomite mine located at Ardrossan in South Australia. The company is also involved in the manufacture and supply of mining consumables products, such as steel grinding balls and rods; wire ropes for surface and underground mining, and structural and general purposes; and forged and rolled railway wheels, track wheels, gear blanks, axles, and wheel sets, as well as forged steel rolls, bottom poured ingots, cast round bars, and anode pins. In addition, it engages in the manufacture and distribution of steel long products, structural pipes and tubes, and wire products for the manufacturing, construction, mining, and automotive industries; and recycling and supply of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal to foundries, smelters, and steel mills.
