Mahmood Shariff
Description Dr. Shariff is an internist and a cardiologist. He received his training in New York City. He was an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. Dr. Shariff is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Cardiology. From 1973 to 1977, he was in solo practice in Cambridge. Dr. Shariff has served in various capacities on the executive committees of the Medical Staff at Dorchester General Hospital, including Chief of Medicine. The community elected him to the Dorchester General Hospital Board of Directors for a six-year term. He volunteered his cardiology services for numerous years at Fassett/Magee Clinic. Dr. Shariff is currently a member of the medical staff at Dorchester General Hospital and Memorial Hospital at Easton. He was elected Chief of Staff at Dorchester General Hospital in 1999 for a two-year period. Dr. Shariff now heads the only multi-specialty group of physicians Board Certified in Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Allergy and Immunology.
