Marian Heard
Description Ms. Heard has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Oxen Hill Partners, specialists in leadership development programs, since August 2004. From February 1992 until July 2004, Ms. Heard was President and Chief Executive Officer of the United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Chief Executive Officer of United Way of New England, each a social service agency. Ms. Heard is a director of Sovereign Bancorp, a financial services institution, and BioSphere Medical, Inc., a medical products company. Ms. Heard?s experience includes many years in president or chief executive officer roles, as well as specific operations experience at all senior management levels. She has a very strong background in the non-profit arena, including 12 years as the head of United Way of Massachusetts Bay as well as service on the boards of several non-profits. Ms. Heard also brings many years of relevant experience on public company boards, and has served on the boards of two insurance companies.
