Description MARTY G. DICKENS, 62, Retired President, AT&T-Tennessee. Mr. Dickens, who joined Genesco?s board in 2003, retired from AT&T-Tennessee in 2007, after serving as its president for nine years. He held a number of positions with BellSouth/AT&T Corp. and its predecessors and affiliates since 1999, following more than six years as an executive vice president with BellSouth International. Mr. Dickens is also lead director of Avenue Bank-Tennessee, chairman of the board of Harpeth Companies, a privately-held investment banking, consulting, and ventures company, and a director of a number of charitable and community organizations. The board believes that Mr. Dickens? experience in various positions with BellSouth and AT&T, including his international experience, and his extensive involvement in the Company?s headquarters community, are beneficial to the board and to the Company.
