Description Matrix Composites & Engineering Ltd engages in the design, testing, manufacture, distribution, and service of various engineered products for use in the oil and gas, and mineral resources industries. It operates through two segments, Composite Materials, and Offshore Services and Engineering. The Composite Materials segment designs, manufactures, and supplies buoyancy systems, pipeline insulation, pipeline and riser protection, riser ancillaries, and various down hole products to the offshore oil and gas industry, as well as supplies product solutions for military and other commercial applications. This segment offers drilling products, such as riser buoyancy, riser shims, riser protectors, riser clamping systems, and xirpatch automatic kits; well construction equipment, including centralizers, primary cementing equipment, casing reamer shoes, and annular pressure build-up mitigation foam; downstream cryogenic insulation systems comprising moulded pipe insulation products and composite cryogenic pipe support insulation blocks; and upstream subsea, umbilicals, risers, and flowlines; ancilliary equipment consisting of pipeline and umbilical buoyancy systems, general buoyancy systems, coating and protection systems, flexible flow lines and umbilical accessories, and clamping systems. The Offshore Services and Engineering segment manufactures and supplies connectors, conductors and casing, offshore structures, subsea skids and manifolds, offshore cranes, and winches; and testing, refurbishment, and maintenance services to the oil and gas industry. This segment also supplies heavy material handling equipment, winches, and other processing equipment to the mining and mineral processing industries; offers repair and maintenance, buoyancy repair, field joint coating, and site services; OEM contract manufacturing and repair services; and provides offshore labor.
