Mel Friedman, age 71, has been a member of our Board since May 2004. From July 2002 to December 2003, Mr. Friedman served as a consultant to Sun Microsystems, Inc., a network computing company. Mr. Friedman retired as Senior Vice President of Customer Advocacy at Sun Microsystems in July 2002 after serving in that position since July 2000. From April 1989 to June 2000, Mr. Friedman served in several other roles for Sun Microsystems, including President of its Microelectronics Division, Vice President of Worldwide Operations for its Systems Operation, Vice President of West Coast Operations and Vice President of Supply Management. Mr. Friedman previously served as a director with Electroglas, Inc. from 1999 to 2009. Mr. Friedman holds a B.S.M.E. from City College of New York and has completed numerous masters courses in industrial management and mechanical engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. We believe that Mr. Friedman?s qualifications to sit on our Board of Directors include his substantial senior leadership experience at Sun Microsystems, a major multinational public company. Mr. Friedman has a broad understanding of issues and challenges that affect large companies, and he is able to draw from his wide range of experience to understand and provide guidance on issues related to management, customer advocacy, operations and technology.
