Michael Bertash
Description Michael Bertash, 57, was elected a Director of the Company in 1998. Mr. Bertash served as Chief Executive Officer of New York Capital Advisers, LLC, an investment management firm, from August 2004 until July 2008, and is currently employed at Tocqueville Asset Management. From February 1997 until July 2004, Mr. Bertash served as a Senior Vice President with J. & W. Seligman &. Co., an investment management firm. Mr. Bertash was an Associate Director of the asset management division of Bear, Stearns & Co., Inc., a worldwide investment bank and brokerage firm, from October 1991 until January 1997. Mr. Bertash holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Operations Research from Syracuse University and a Master of Business Administration degree from New York University. Mr. Bertash has served on the Company?s Board of Directors since 1998 and is a seasoned financial advisor, with extensive experience in asset and investment management. The Company believes that such experience, together with his general qualifications, attributes and skills, gives Mr. Bertash the experience, qualifications, attributes and skills to serve as a director of the Company.
