Michael El-Hillow
Description Michael El-Hillow served as Chairman of the Board of Directors from September 2005 to December 2006, and served as a director from August of 2004 until December 2006. Effective January 2007, Mr. El-Hillow was appointed Chief Financial Officer and Secretary, and resigned from our Board of Directors. In September 2009, Mr. El-Hillow was appointed Chief Operations Officer and is also responsible for worldwide manufacturing and operations, in addition to his duties as CFO. Prior to joining Evergreen Solar as an executive, Mr. El-Hillow demonstrated his leadership capabilities as Chairman of the Board of Evergreen Solar, and established his abilities as a public company chief financial officer at Advanced Energy and Helix Technology, both companies having significant ties to the photovoltaic products industry. Mr. El-Hillow was Chief Financial Officer of MTM Technologies, Inc. from January 2006 to September 2006. Mr. El-Hillow was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Advanced Energy from October 2001 to December 2005. Prior to joining Advanced Energy, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Helix Technology Corporation, a major supplier of high-vacuum products principally to the semiconductor capital equipment industry, from 1997 until 2001. Prior to joining Helix, he was Vice President of Finance, Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer at A.T. Cross Company and an audit partner at Ernst & Young. Mr. El-Hillow received an MBA from Babson College and a BS in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts and he is a Certified Public Accountant.
