Its Oilfield Services segment offers specialized transportation, drilling, well-servicing, and dewatering services, which include transporting of oversize and overweight shipments; drilling rig relocation; conductor pipe setting; core drilling; casing setting; transportation, handling, storage, and computerized inventory management of oilfield fluids, tubulars and drilling mud, pipe stockpiling, and stringing; and services related to the processing and production of heavy oil, including well servicing and handling, transportation and disposal of fluids, frac support, dredging, water management, dewatering, and pond reclamation services. The companys Trucking/Logistics segment offers a range of truckload and less than truckload general freight services to customers in Canada, the United States, and Mexico. It transports general freight; specialized commodities, such as cable, pipe, and steel; over-dimensional loads, such as heavy equipment, compressors, and over-sized goods; and dry bulk commodities comprising cement and frac sand. This segment also provides logistics, warehousing and distribution, transload, and intermodal services primarily in western Canada, as well as engages in the production, excavation, and transportation of various aggregate products. As of December 31, 2012, the company owned or leased 2,295 power units and had access to 1,202 power units under contract with owner-operators and subcontractors; 7,773 trailers, which include vans, flatbeds, dry bulk trailers, specialized trailers, and temperature-controlled trailers; a fleet of 33 hydraulic single rigs, 15 auger drilling rigs, and 1 dual rotary rig; approximately 236 pieces of earthmoving equipment consisting of excavators, dozers, rock trucks, and front-end loaders; and approximately 781 light duty vehicles.
