Salvatore Privitera
Description Salvatore Privitera has served as our Vice President, Engineering and Product Development since May 2009 and previously served as Vice President, Business Development and Research from May 2007 to May 2009 and as Vice President, Product Development from October 2003 to May 2007 and in the same capacity during 2000 and 2001. From 2001 to 2003, Mr. Privitera served as Director of Product Development for Ethicon Endo-Surgery, a developer and manufacturer of minimally invasive surgical instruments. Mr. Privitera has over 15 years of medical product development experience and has been associated with the release of over 40 medical devices in the fields of cardiac surgery, laparoscopic general surgery, breast biopsy and sedation. He is a named inventor on over 30 issued and filed U.S. patents. Mr. Privitera is an adjunct professor at the University of Cincinnati. He received his B.S. from the University of Buffalo, his Masters in Business Administration from Xavier University and is pursuing his J.D. from Chase College of Law.
