Scott Lerner
Description Scott Lerner is our Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary. Mr. Lerner joined our company in 2005 from the international law firm Dechert LLP, where he was an associate in the corporate and securities and mergers and acquisitions practice groups from 1997 to 2005. Mr. Lerner earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Cornell University and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. On August 7, 2009, the Company announced that Scott E. Lerner, its Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, has been appointed to the position of Chief Compliance Officer by the board of directors effective immediately. In this new capacity, Mr. Lerner, who will retain his current responsibilities, will now also be responsible for developing, maintaining and overseeing B&G Foods' compliance and ethics program and will chair a newly-established compliance and ethics committee comprised of senior management-level employees representing B&G Foods' various business functions. Mr. Lerner, joined B&G Foods in 2005 as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary and was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2006.
