Steve Nelson
Description Steve Nelson is our Vice President of Drilling and Production. He has over 27 years of experience in the oil and gas business. In April 2006, we hired him from Devon Energy, the largest U.S. independent oil and gas company, where he was the Manager of Drilling and Operations for Devon?s Western Division. From April 1999 until joining us in April 2006, Mr. Nelson was employed by Ocean Energy, which was acquired by Devon Energy in May 2003, serving as U.S. Onshore Well Work Superintendent (from April 1999 until April 2000) and then as Production and Engineering Manager for U.S. Onshore for the remainder of his tenure there. Previous to that, Mr. Nelson spent 16 years with Kerr McGee?s Gulf of Mexico Division in various operations and supervisory jobs.
