Mr. Swartout is a Director of Genesee Valley Trust Company from 2008 to present. Mr. Swartout was previously Senior Vice President ? Corporate Risk and General Counsel of The Canandaigua National Bank and Trust Company from 2004 to 2007. Mr. Swartout was employed as Associate General Counsel at The Canandaigua National Bank and Trust Company from 1984 to 1993. He was a partner in the Rochester, New York law firm Lawrence, Werner, Kesselring, Swartout and Brown, LLP from 1994 to 2000 when he re-joined The Canandaigua National Bank and Trust Company as Vice President and General Counsel. Mr. Swartout is a graduate of Vermont Law School, Hamilton College, and Canandaigua Academy. He is licensed to practice law in all New York State courts, United States District Court for the Western District of New York, and United States Bankruptcy Court.
